For your further information, La Escala is a small fishing village that has grown gently over the years but has retained it’s character and charm and importantly has no package holidays, so rest assured, you will have a relaxing holiday and you are booking with The Property Shop who have 25 years experience in Villa and Apartment rentals here in La Escala plus we are both an API and NAEA registered company
We are renowned as a gastronomic centre where you will find full 3 course menus for just 7 Euros up to full 5 star restaurants. Also you will find all the activities for both that of yourselves and the children….full range of water sports with all you need readily available for rental, mountain bikes, motor bikes and horse riding, scuba diving etc. Beaches are some of the finest around and in La Escala we have 4 main beaches, in the heart of the old village, Riells, the famous Montgo Bay and then Empuries, this perfect beach which runs for some 11 miles and passes right in front of historic Greek and Roman ruins.
Night life is also abundant and for all ages! or you can just relax in the garden of your villa with the BBQ and a good bottle of Spanish wine.
On your arrival we will be happy to indicate places of interest and answer any questions that you might have along these lines.
For those of you who are travelling by car, Calais is about 11 hours driving and for those of you who are flying there are 3 main airports, Barcelona, Gerona (closest) and Perpignan. For Gerona & Perpignan check out Ryanair (from the UK.) And we can have a hire car to meet your flight if you wish…no waiting around.
